Independence Day 2023 Celebrations: Your Ultimate Guide to Events, Parades, and Fireworks in Your Area

Several events are planned to celebrate Independence Day 2023. CBS 58 has compiled a list for you to see what’s happening in your area.

BROOKFIELD

Independence Day activities will take place on Tuesday, July 4

The parade starts at 10 am – our CBS 58 host Jessob Reisbeck will be there!

Calhoun Road will close at approximately 9:30 a.m.

The parade will continue until all units have completed the route. In a typical year, this ends at 11:30 am to 12:00 noon.

Flag Raising Ceremony – The flag raising ceremony will take place in the Civic Plaza immediately after the parade.

Family Fest – Family Fest is in full swing at Mitchell Park from 6:00-9:00 PM. This annual pre-fireworks event features family-oriented activities and a variety of food and entertainment. Come to the park early and find parking, have a picnic, enjoy the activities and entertainment, and stay for the fireworks show. THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR THE FAMILY FESTIVAL.

The fireworks will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 – The rain date is Wednesday, July 5. The fireworks begin at approximately 9:17 p.m.

BROWN DEER

CEDARBURG

Parade at 10 am followed by a day-long picnic at Cedar Creek Park with food and beverages served by the Cedarburg Lions Club

CUDAHY

Kids Bike Parade Tuesday, July 4 at 11:30am at Grange and Packard Ave (Mister Car Wash)

Festivities at Library Square in downtown Cudahy, including free ice cream and cracker station, food, drinks, children’s games and more

Fireworks on the 4th of July at Sheridan Park east of the pond at 9:15 p.m.

DELAFIELD

The fireworks will take place on July 1 (rain date July 2) at sunset over Lake Nagawicka. Visitors can view the fireworks from St. John’s Park on N. Genesee St in downtown Delafield (across from the Post Office) or from Naga-Waukee County Park located on Highway 83.

Parade to be held on July 4, 10 am The route will begin in the parking lot behind City HAll and end at the Delafield Legion for post-parade activities.

EAST TROY

The parade will take place on Sunday, July 2 at 12 pm

It starts at West & Main St, going north on Main St and around the Square, down Division St to Elm St, Beulah Ave and then right on Graydon Ave and ending at Rossmiller Park.

The fireworks will take place on Sunday, July 2 at sunset.

Parade at 9 am on July 4, with a pre-parade at 8:30 am The route is along Main Street, officially starting at Goold Street and Main STreet moving south around the turn to 14th Street.

The parade will leave the Hoyt Pool parking lot at 9:00 am, with the lineup beginning at 7:30 am. The parade will continue north on Swan (92nd Street) to North Avenue, then turn right onto North Avenue, ending near 80th Street.

Fireworks 9:15 pm – The fireworks viewing location is Hart Park, along 65th Street and River Parkway, with the launch site being 63rd Street and River Parkway.

WEST ALLIS

The parade route begins at 77th and Greenfield, continues east on Greenfield to 70th St, then south on 70th St. to Orchard Ave.

The fireworks will take place at the West Allis Athletic Complex at Nathan Hale High School – 11601 W. Lincoln Ave. Enjoy the amazing sounds of Failure to Launch at 8:30 pm, followed by fireworks. Concessions available and parking open from 6 pm for $10.

WEST BEND

Parade 9:30 am – Historic Downtown West Bend (Main Street from Oak North to Regner Park).

Free root beer floats for kids from 10:30 am to noon – Regner Park entertainment area.

Kiwanis Duck Derby 11 am – Regner Park Creek near the tennis courts.

Fireworks 9:45 am – at Riverside Park.

WHITEFISH BAY

Parade 11 am – CBS 58 Meteorologist Justin Thompson-Gee will be there!

The parade route begins at the corner of Silver Spring Drive and Kent Avenue. The parade heads east on Silver Spring Drive, continuing on Lake Drive to Klode Park.

Fireworks Finale 9:30 pm – at Klode Park Bluff
