Dominik Szoboszlai played exceptionally well on Sunday in the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United. The numbers also support this, according to Whoscored.com, 34 out of 37 passes went to the right place, i.e. his pass accuracy was 92 percent, and he also had four shots on goal, so there could be no complaints about his activity. Interestingly, the English press ratings don’t really back this up; most grades are 6, there are two 7s, but unfortunately one 5 as well.

And in the 71st minute, he was replaced, Elliott came in his place, but at least he didn’t push himself to the limit, he will still have plenty to do this season, to say the least, on Friday against Turkey in the Hungarian national team.

As for the national team: the blood froze in our veins when he collided with Bruno Fernandes and writhed on the ground for long seconds, but then luckily got back to his feet. We had the impression that Mohamed Szalah iced our compatriot, he almost never passed to him when he was in a good position, sometimes scoring opportunities failed due to the Egyptian’s selfishness.

Goal.com: 6. He had a lot of shots on goal from outside the box. He also had the ball a lot, but his passes lacked spirit.

Thisisanfield.com: 7. Like Robertson, Szoboszlai is also approaching his top form after returning from injury. The Hungarian player gave a promising performance. Liverpool’s 8 was diligent as always, handling the ball well, even brilliantly, somewhat like at the beginning of the season. He was dangerous with his long shots, showed a physical game, but we have the feeling that he has another gear in reserve.

Liverpoolecho.co.uk: 6. This time, his defense left something to be desired before the break, but after the turn, he got much, much better. Onana blocked his shots or blocked the block. Substituted after 71 minutes.

90min.com: 6. As time went on, he felt more and more comfortable on the pitch, and after the break he had more opportunities to threaten United’s goal.

Tribuna.com: 5,5. He wasn’t involved in the game as much as he would have liked. Defensively, he was sometimes out of place. He had some pretty good shots, but the keeper always made a save.

Squawka.com: 6. As always, he didn’t have to be persuaded to keep up with Liverpool’s attacks. He was proactive in his box-to-box midfield role, which is his own.

Whoscored.com: 7,0.

Dailymail.co.uk: 5. This game was pretty much okay from Szoboszlai, except that he repeatedly overthought his passes in the attacking third.

Onefootball.com: 6.
