INDH promotes eco-responsible tourism

L’The INDH’s objective is to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people targeted by carrying out efforts that can lead to the realization of sustainable projects, bringing sure added value and, above all, creating jobs and wealth.

Through its program 3 entitled “Income improvement and economic inclusion of young people”, the INDH is committed at the level of the territorial municipalities under the province of Al Haouz to support project leaders, in this case women and young people, by offering them employment and self-employment opportunities in several sectors considered promising, such as tourism, crafts, agriculture and services.

Combining tourism and environmental education, “Eco Camp” is an ecotourism complex that was created in Douar Toroud in the rural town of Ouirgane. Indeed, thanks to the support of the INDH, the province of Al Haouz is now full of many cottages, refuges and ecotourism projects whose funding and support provided by the Initiative allow their owners to a place in the world of entrepreneurship. Similarly, the douar “Derb Ouirgane” has a tourist cottage “Riad Idar”, offering stays in a setting in the heart of nature.

Having mobilized an amount of 160,180 DH, including 96,108 DH as a financial contribution from the INDH, this project’s main ambition is to promote sustainable and responsible ecological tourism, while highlighting the richness and diversity of landscapes and traditions in this area. With the accompaniment and the financing of this kind of projects and many others, the INDH proposes to create locally more jobs, and thus to generate more added value, through the encouragement of the creation of TPME of high socio-economic importance, and improving the transversal skills of young people.

It should be remembered that in its three phases, the INDH mobilized the necessary human and financial resources, in order to enable young people to translate their ideas and make their dreams come true, through carefully studied and sustainable projects, promoting employability and creation of safe value locally.
