Mumbai: Australia women won the fourth match of the T20 series against India. Aussies won the five-match series with a 7-run win (3-1). Chasing a target of 189 runs, India fought back but fell short by seven runs. India won the second match and lost the remaining three matches.
Score: Australia 188 for 3 in 20 overs, India 181 for 5 in 20 overs.
Batting first, Australia Alyssa Healy 30(21), Ashley Gardner 42(27), Elise Perry 72*(42) and Grace Harris 27*(12) achieved a huge score. In reply, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh struck 40*(19) in the last overs but could not lead India to victory.
Smriti Mandana 16(10), Shafali Verma 20(16), Jemima Rodriguez 8(11), Harmanpreet Kaur 46(30) and Devika Vaidya 32(26) were the other batsmen who contributed. The last match of the series will be played on December 20.
