London: An Indian student has been sentenced to prison in the UK for molesting a drunk woman. Preet Vikal (20) of Indian origin was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison. The relevant incident took place in June 2022 in Cardiff.
The case against Preet is that he brought an intoxicated woman to his flat and raped her. Footage of a 20-year-old man carrying a half-conscious woman along the road was also released. Police arrested Preet after this. The woman told the police that she could not even sleep after the incident.
The young woman and Preet, who came with friends, met at the club. After leaving the club, the woman, who had drunk too much, met Preet again and both of them talked. Then the accused took the woman to his flat and tortured her.
After leaving the club, the accused took the woman in his arms and the CCTV footage was released. The police also got other footage of the woman being carried on his shoulders. On the basis of these videos and the Instagram messages sent by the accused to the woman, the police arrested him.
