Nisha and Riya’s fathers Jeevabhai Muliasia and Savdas Bhai Muliasia hail from Kothadi village in Gujarat. They immigrated to Israel years ago. and obtained Israeli citizenship. Jivabhai runs a shop in Tel Aviv. Jeevabhai said that her daughter Nisha has been working as part of the Israeli forces for the past two years on the borders of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. Some media reports that Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and his wife visited Jeevabha’s house when he visited Tel Aviv last time. But it is reported that Nisha and Riya are not working as part of the ongoing Hamas-Israeli war.

In Israel, anyone over the age of 18 is required to perform compulsory military service. The duration of compulsory military service is two years and eight months for men and two years for women. Only those with physical and mental disabilities are exempted. Artists and sports persons will be allowed 75 percent relaxation. The Israel Defense Forces have roughly equal proportions of women and men.
