India’s women’s blind football team has qualified for the IBSA World Championship to be held in England. This is the first time a football team from India has qualified for the tournament.
The competition will be held in Birmingham from August 12 to 21.
They have achieved an asset for the empowerment of women players and differently-abled players in the Indian sports sector.
Indian Blind Football Team for Women was formed in 2019. The Indian Blind Football Federation looks at the women’s team with great pride.
This is the first time that the Indian women’s team will be a part of the IPSA World Championship. The match will be played in Birmingham, England. We wish you all the best,’ said Sunil J, head coach of the team. Matthew said.
The team’s training camp is progressing in Kochi. The team will travel to the UK on August 12.
