Jeddah: The decision to localize jobs in amusement parks and entertainment centers in Saudi Arabia has been implemented. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced that 70 percent of jobs in independent and seasonal entertainment centers and family entertainment centers and 100 percent of jobs inside malls will be indigenized from Friday.

Indigenization is in the jobs of Branch Manager, Department Manager, Department Supervisor, Assistant Branch Manager, Accounting Fund Supervisor, Customer Service Executive, Sales Specialist and Marketing Specialist. However, jobs like cleaners, painters, plumbers, bus drivers for workers, loading and unloading laborers, and game operators who require special skills and certificates have been exempted from naturalization.

On March 31 last year, Minister Ng said that indigenization will be implemented in this area. Announced by Ahmad Bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi. Subsequently, the Ministry published on its website the guidelines on procedures for implementing indigenization in occupations in amusement parks and entertainment centers. The law came into effect on Friday (September 24) when the period allowed to implement the indigenization of the posts ended. The ministry has clarified that heavy fines will be imposed on institutions that do not comply with the law. Violations include hiring non-nationals in occupations restricted to Saudis and not meeting the Saudization percentage.

The decision to indigenize jobs in amusement parks and entertainment centers is a continuation of the decisions being implemented by the Ministry with the aim of creating a suitable work environment for the natives in different parts of the country. These are implemented in collaboration with various government departments and the private sector. This aims to increase the participation of natives in private sector jobs and strengthen their contribution to the economic system.
