El Indio Solari congratulated the National Institute of Music (Inamu) for the creation of the public digital aggregator of Argentine music called AMA (Agregadora de Música Argentina), pointing out that it was “necessary for national and independent music” to have “someone represent on streaming platforms.”

“Habla Indio, I wanted to congratulate Inamu for the creation of AMA, the Argentine Music Aggregator. Which is a tool to distribute our albums and songs on all music platforms in the world. That we know the rights that these works have, be able to register them and charge for reproductions. It is necessary that independent national music has someone to represent us on streaming platforms. For that, ‘we listen through the noise,’” said the musician.

This testimony and that of other musicians and references from our country will be part of the next broadcast of the cycle Unison which will be broadcast this Saturday at midnight on the Public TV screen, in a broadcast dedicated to this tool that will begin operating in 2023.

The presentation ceremony was led on September 12 by the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Tristán Bauer, and the president of Inamu, Bernabé “Buco” Cantlon.

Before figures such as Moris and Boom Boom Kid, this initiative was presented that will offer the possibility of improving the access and circulation of national music on digital platforms.

Just as there used to be a distributor that took records in physical format to record stores, today there are digital aggregators or distributors to make works available on Spotify, Deezer, iTunes, YouTube and Tidal, among other platforms.

Artists cannot upload their songs directly; rather, an intermediary is needed to deliver the music to digital platforms – most of them foreign – and receive the profits generated by the reproductions.

AMA, the new national aggregator will allow musicians to make their works available, free of charge, and to know with certainty the details of the settlements for reproductions.

Through an agreement with Cultura de la Nación, which provided funds for the development and implementation of this tool, Inamu created this Argentine music aggregator so that any musical project can upload its works to all digital platforms, obtaining revenue for its reproductions. .

The implementation of AMA will allow groups and soloists to upload their songs to all streaming platforms, free of charge, charging for their reproductions, with transparency in settlements and an effective improvement in the positioning of Argentine music.
