It is a bad surprise that the inhabitants of the chaussée du Rœulx and the rue des Genêts in Mons had this Thursday morning when they woke up. Tags and other inscriptions were marked on their car, facade or even their door during the night. “This Thursday night, along the Chaussée du Rœulx to the Domaine d’Epinlieu, cars and the facades of houses were marked with indelible green marker. There was a name and a female first name written on my windshield. On my neighbour’s window, there was a tag and a line drawn all along the blue stones, ”says Gillian Pin, a resident of the Chaussée du Rœulx.

Also at rue des Genêts, traces of markers were found on the cars. “When my son-in-law arrived at his place of work, his boss was surprised to see that the company’s new van had been tagged with permanent marker. My neighbor’s girlfriend’s car has also been tagged, ”shares Pascale De Jaeger who deplores this kind of act. “I’ve lived here for two years and I always tell myself that it’s very quiet. Except for the cars, we don’t hear anything so we don’t expect to find it in the early morning, ”she regrets.
