Indonesian fashion designer Oscar Lawalata has officially changed his identity to a woman.
She was declared legal as a woman after conducting a trial in an Indonesian court.
Oscar has also changed all the identities in the various state documents he has.
Apart from gender, Oscar Lawalata has also changed his name to Asha Smara Darra.
Oscar Lawalata’s new name after becoming a woman has also been changed in his documents.
“All the documents are in accordance with my name and it’s official. I came to trial through a court in Indonesia and that’s the procedure. It’s better if we have changed our sex, we should report everything too,” said Oscar Lawalata in a program on private television .
“(All documents) were replaced in the name of Asha Smara Darra woman,” he continued.
Before making that decision, Oscar consulted a psychologist and even had hormone tests.
“Over time, the older he got, the more we talked. Then he said that he went to a psychologist, psychiatrist, hormone tests and all kinds of things. I never knew what he was doing for three years,” said Reggy Lawalata, Oscar’s mother.
As a parent, Reggy left all decisions to Oscar Lawalata so that his son could live happily.
“He told me all that after me and Mario (Oscar’s brother) okay you can do whatever you want and we still love you,” continued Oscar Lawalata’s mother.
