California
From October to January of next year, the California government will send the Middle Class Tax Rebate of up to $1,050. Here We share more details and eligibility requirements.
Illinois
People who earned less than $200,000 in 2021 will receive a $50 rebate; couples filing jointly with income less than $400,000, $100. Taxpayers can also earn $100 per dependent claimed on their 2021 taxes, up to three dependents. In total, a family of four can earn up to $300.
Indiana
In addition to the $125 refund sent to taxpayers since May, the Indiana Legislature added another $200, to be sent in October.
New York
The New York City Department of Taxation and Treasury announced that at the end of October it will begin sending an average payment of $270 to New Yorkers who received the Empire State Childhood Credit and/or Earned Income Credit for their 2021 state tax returns.
Virginia
Millions of Virginians should receive $250 tax refunds ($500 for those who filed a joint return). Payments will be made by paper check and direct deposit.
2.9 million refunds will be issued by October 11. Eligible residents who filed before July 1 should receive their refund by October 31. The rest of the checks will be sent in the remainder of the year.

Colorado
In August and September a $750 check State residents who filed their 2021 tax return by June 30, but taxpayers who received an extension and file by October 17 will receive their refund by January 31, 2023.
South Carolina
In South Carolina, approved income tax refunds from $100 to $800 dollarswhich will be sent at the end of November or in December.
Massachusetts
The state will send out $3 billion in refunds starting in November. Finance Secretary Michael Heffernan said taxpayers will receive a credit “in proportion to what they paid for,” but there was no exact figure yet. More details are expected this month.
