Influx of vacationers San José beach Holy Thursday 2023

Since this Wednesday, dozens of families have moved to the different beaches of the Pacific.

Hundreds of families take advantage of the Easter holiday to visit the different tourist destinations in the country; however, the beaches and spas are traditionally the busiest. The public beach of the Port of San José is one of those favorite destinations and during the first hours of this Holy Thursday 2023 it already has a high influx of vacationers.

The National Civil Police (PNC), as part of the actions carried out through the National Prevention System during Holy Week (Sinapress) It carries out monitoring and security tours in the areas with the highest influx of visitors.

On the public beach in San José, PNC agents carry out tours of the streets and beaches in which they hand out bracelets to identify children and give recommendations on prevention to vacationers.

For his part, the general director of the citizen security institution, Edwin Ardiano, carries out aerial tours to monitor the level of influxes and thus coordinate the coverage of elements of the security forces in different posts.

Meanwhile, the vice minister of security, Carlos Franco Urzua, carries out aerial monitoring on the country’s Caribbean beaches.

Safety at Easter

The National System of Prevention in Holy Week (Sinaprese) of 2023 has 13 camps and eight control and prevention posts in eight regions, these being: Guatemala, Alta Verapaz, Zacapa, Jutiapa, Escuintla, Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango and Petén. Its main objective is to prevent, mitigate and respond to contingencies or emergencies during the longest vacation of Guatemalans.

It offers health, security, information, mechanical and humanitarian services to national and foreign travelers during Holy Week.

At different points nationwide, attention is provided to visitors in the areas of greatest influx such as beaches, spas, or in processional routes.
