The Yankees’ starting left-hander, Nestor Cortes, probably ended his season prematurely. The day before yesterday, he found that his left hand was unable to lift up. After an MRI diagnosis, he was diagnosed with a strained left shoulder rotator muscle. He announced his return to the 15-day disabled list over the weekend.
