Yes, because for the Captain and the General this Europe is not working because it proposes a model of a world without identity, a world in reverse as Vannacci would say. A Union that proposes a “fake” integration that involves the renunciation of the identity symbols that have made Europe what it is today. An example? The poster with the dome of the Invalides without crucifix to sponsor the Olympics in France. «Woke culture and cancel culture want to make us ashamed of what our grandfathers and fathers did. And I would like a Europe in which our children do not have to be ashamed of their history and their culture” declared Vannacci.

This is why Vannacci is running to defend the values ​​of the homeland, borders, security and national sovereignty, for a Europe that rediscovers Christianity and opens up to modernity without giving up its national identities. The only ones “worth dying for” as Vannacci underlines. «Why would multicultural societies be better than others? It is something that clashes with the concept of homeland, where everyone rallies around the same principle and is ready to fight for it. In a multicultural society, the concept of a sovereign nation is called into question”, warns the general. «There cannot be any mitigating multicultural circumstances, justice must be equal for everyone», he concludes, referring to customs such as the veil for Islamic women.

The two met thanks to the “left-wing newspapers” which, as soon as the general’s book “The World in Reverse” was published, began to paint him as a monster. A hail of criticism that convinced Salvini to call the then unknown general to meet him. A few fleeting meetings, away from journalists, to talk gave rise to the idea in Salvini of nominating Vannacci. For his part, the general began to entertain the idea of ​​running with the League, even if it was his daughters who finally convinced him. «Thinking of my two daughters I would like to do something to give them a better future. I would like an Italy and a Europe with more identity. The identity of peoples exists. It is the wok culture that leads us to be ashamed of who we are, well-being, wealth and progress. I spoke about identity, borders, security and progress, I believe that these are values ​​that overlap with those of the League, which is why I ran as an independent” concluded the general.
