REED. Exactly 100 years to the day after its founding, the Innviertel Artists’ Guild (IKG) held a big anniversary celebration in the state music school.
State Governor Thomas Stelzer praised the remarkable development of the IKG, which not only unleashes a lot of creativity, but also has a lot of self-confidence and deals openly with difficult phases.
For an entire afternoon, the guild masters offered a dense and varied program from contemporary music to classical music, from readings to performances.
The visual artists of the IKG, who have already shown their works in numerous exhibitions throughout the anniversary year, stepped into the background this time and left the stage to the writers, musicians and performance artists of the IKG.
Last exhibition this year
The IKG will be holding one more exhibition this year: On Thursday, November 23rd, at 7 p.m., the exhibition “In Memoriam” will open in the “Gilde” gallery at Kirchenplatz 11 in Ried.
It shows works by the two former IKG chairmen Walter Holzinger and Meinrad Mayerhofer, who died in 2022.
Katharina Mayrhofer and Hanna Kirmann will speak at the opening.
The exhibition lasts until December 27th.
