Instagram tests songs in carousels/notes and Close Friends posts

In addition to allowing (for some time now) people to add their favorite songs in Stories and feed posts, Instagram is now testing the possibility of adding songs also in carousels. This novelty, announced by the head of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, on his official channel, is now available to a portion of users in several countries.

As noted by The Verge, with the novelty, you now have more time to enjoy the music chosen by a user to “decorate” your publication, since instead of just a photo, you can browse through several images at once while listening to it. We, remember, already published a tutorial that shows how to add a song to a traditional post.

Another Instagram feature that is also getting more musical is the notes in DMs, which will soon allow you to add snippets of songs along with their respective titles and the name of the artists — reminiscent of the nostalgic days of MSN. As with traditional notes, you can choose which of your followers can view the message.

Unlike songs in carousels, it is not yet known when songs will become available for grades.

Feed posts for Close Friends

The developer specializing in reverse engineering Alexander Paluzzi yesterday released a screenshot which shows that Instagram is testing allowing its users to limit posts sent to the feed only for Close Friends (Close Friends)as it is already possible to do with stories, for example.

O #Instagram is working on the ability to make posts visible only to close friends ????

As you can see above, the social network added a new option on the last screen of the publication process called “Audience”, which is where the user can limit the reach of the post.

Naturally, it’s still unclear when (and if) Instagram intends to release this function to more people.
