Veracruz, Veracruz.- Given the great demand of students, more work spaces are required for graduates of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, considers the director of the educational center, Patricia Beatriz Denis Rodríguez.

In an interview, he assured that the graduates of this institute are qualified to work in Prosecutor’s Offices, in the area of ​​expert reports and even in teaching, however, there is a need for more employment because in a few years to date the career has gained more interest.

“More sources of employment are needed for those who study a career of this type to really carry out the work for which they were prepared because it is a work that is very important and important in our country,” he expressed.

What programs does the Institute of Forensic Medicine offer?

Currently, the Institute offers two programs, the first is embalming histopathology, which lasts two years and is open to all students who graduate from high school.

Graduates of this career are assistants to forensic doctors in performing autopsies and also support in the embalming and processing of tissue samples in laboratories.

“Your participation is really very important, it is a unique race in the Mexican Republic, we have been with it for many years, it is constantly updated and it has a lot of demand, it is a technical level,” he explains.

They also have a postgraduate degree in Forensic Medicine, which is aimed not only at doctors but also at chemists, psychologists and dentists as a way to contribute with human resources.

He recalled that in the career of histopathologist and embalmer technician there are two generations of 40 to 45 students, while in the master’s degree there are two other generations of seven and 12 students and every year there are registrations for their training.
