Intel invests $25 billion in a factory in Israel

This is “the largest investment by an international company ever made in Israel”, welcomed the Prime Minister of Israel, Benyamin Netanyahu. The country announced on Monday that it had reached an agreement in principle with Intel to invest in a new semiconductor manufacturing plant.

In total, the American giant will spend 25 billion dollars in this new project, a colossal amount, due in particular to the very high cost of the chip manufacturing machines, which are pushed to ever more fine engraving.
