Cairo: International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan said that the investigation into the crimes committed in Palestine during Israel’s occupation is intensified. Karim Khan stated that since 2014, the investigation has been going on in Gaza and the West Bank under their jurisdiction.

Israel must ensure that civilians have access to food and medicine. Depriving the people of their fundamental rights can lead to criminal offences. Do not obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to children, women, men and civilians.

“They are innocent. They have rights under international human rights law. These rights are part of the Geneva Conventions. When the rights are obstructed, it becomes a criminal activity’-Khan pointed out.

Karim Khan stated that he hopes to visit the Gaza Strip and Israel and will ensure the rights in the jurisdictional areas.

Following the Israeli occupation, the flow of essential goods to Gaza was halted. Residents were denied access to water and food and electricity was cut off during the Israeli blockade. Since the start of the conflict, only 2 percent of the food distributed in Gaza has been received.
