This Friday, 53 Walloon producers, five Brussels residents and 21 foreign beekeepers met in Louvain-la-Neuve for the international competition “Honeys from here and elsewhere”.
It is a family of beekeepers from the province of Luxembourg who won one gold medal, two silver and one bronze in the different categories of the competition. A consecration for these beekeeping enthusiasts who only have seven hives at the bottom of their garden and only produce a few dozen kilos per year.
This competition serves above all to highlight Walloon know-how in the field, because today, our supermarkets are invaded by foreign honey, often of lower quality.
