International Scientific Meetings Anses – EFSA | handles

ANSES and EFSA are organizing a international scientific day dedicated to bee health and the contribution of research to risk assessment. This 8th scientific day dedicated to the health of bees and co-organized for the first time with the European Authority should bring together nearly 300 people and will be an opportunity to highlight the synergy that has been built over time and the common vision that we share on the preservation of the health of bees and pollinating insects. The objective of this meeting, open to a wide audience of beekeepers, researchers, public decision-makers, companies, professional representatives and the media, is to take stock of the constructive proposals of our two agencies on the assessment of plant protection products and their impact on the health of bees and pollinating insects. This day will also be an opportunity to present the research results of our laboratory in Sophia Antipolis, the European Union reference laboratory (LRUE) on bee health, as well as the latest developments made by EFSA on the assessments holistic bee health risk assessments, including modeling and stakeholder engagement.

A large place will be given to the debate thanks to exchanges with the scientists of our two agencies and the French and European stakeholders.

The round table that will close the day will focus on “sustainable beekeeping-agriculture: the need for alternative treatment methods and closer collaboration between beekeepers and farmers”. It will allow various actors to present virtuous initiatives implemented at the territorial level to improve environmental quality and preserve the health of bees.

This event will take place at the Maison de la RATP (Paris 12th). The number of places being limited, we can only advise you to register as soon as possible for this event in order to share with us this moment of information and exchanges.

Registrations are closed but remain possible at the Maison de la RATP subject to availability.
