Spreading the message about Prevention and Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer is one of the main goals of the Women’s Association for Breast Cancer “ALMA ZOIS” of Achaia Prefecture.
During its 23 years of operation, Alma Zois N. Achaia within the Prevention and Early Diagnosis Program has implemented over 4,500 clinical examinations by breast surgeons with more than 1,700 referrals for imaging tests, in collaboration with the diagnostic centers of the city.
This year, honoring and celebrating on International Women’s Dayat March 8, the Life Jump N. Achaia will offer a precious gift of life to the women of the city!
In cooperation with the Municipality of Patreon and the General Directorate of Public Health and Social Care of the Region of Western Greece will implement Clinical Breast Examination for the female population by valid and specialized surgeons, at Mobile Unit of Health of the General Directorate of Public Health and Social Care of the Region of Western Greece, which will be located at the bottom of Georgiou Square her Friday 8 March 10:00 – 14:00 and 17:00 – 21:00.
The specialized surgeons who will perform the two shifts of the clinical examination, volunteering their time and experience, are:
- Karvelas Fotis- Director of Surgery Clinic G.N.P. St. Andreas (Retired)
- Dimitrios Koukouras – Emeritus Professor of Surgery, University of Patras
