Books – Muhammad Shaaban:

A careful inspection conducted by the Criminal Investigation Officers of the Giza Security Directorate, headed by Major General Mohamed El Sharkawy, wrote an important chapter in entrapping a thief accused of stealing the office of actor and scriptwriter Amr Mahmoud Yassin in Agouza.

A mistake made by the scriptwriter facilitated the accused’s task by leaving the office window on the ground floor open and not closing it properly, so that the 20-year-old took advantage of the opportunity and entered.

The research and investigation efforts supervised by Major General Ahmed Al-Wateidi, Director of Criminal Investigations, and Brigadier General Hani Shaarawi, Head of Investigations in the North Sector, revealed that the 20-year-old defendant was previously accused in 13 theft cases.

The investigations of Lieutenant Colonel Hossam Al-Abbasi, head of the investigations in Al-Agouza, and his two assistants, Majors Ahmed Farouk and Mustafa Arafa, carried a surprise when following the path of the accused, showing that he got rid of two prizes in a garbage dump in Al-Barajil area after accidentally destroying them.

The beginning dates back to a communication received by Major General Muhammad al-Sharqawi, Director of the Giza Investigations, from the sheriff of the Agouza Police Department, that he had received a communication from the forty-year-old actor that he had discovered that some of the contents of his office on the ground floor of Abdel Aziz Gawish Street had been stolen.

The search and investigation efforts of the officers of the department’s investigations unit concluded that a dangerous registrar with criminal information “specializing in house theft” was behind the commission of the incident by climbing the back wall of the property.

By codifying the procedures, Captains Mustafa Abdel Sattar and Ahmed Montaser, assistants to the Agouza investigations, were able to arrest the accused, “Bashar A.” 20 years old, and he claimed 4 artistic prizes, “copper statues” and an “Equus cigarette” smoking device, for the stolen items.

The necessary report was issued and Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Director of Giza Security, referred it to the Public Prosecution Office, which initiated the investigation.
