To alert users to this, Apple added an alert to encourage users to download the update when setting up new iPhones. This update is considered the second sub-update for iOS 17, after the first update, iOS 17.0.1, which focuses on filling some serious security vulnerabilities in the system. Meanwhile, Apple has launched the iPadOS 17.0.2 update for iPad devices, to solve a similar problem in iPad devices when transferring data between them, according to Apple.
