All users are advised to download the latest update before embarking on the step of transferring data to the new iPhone 15 phones. To alert users to this, Apple added an alert to encourage users to download the update when setting up new iPhones. This update is considered the second sub-update for iOS 17, following the first update, iOS 17.0.1, which focuses on filling some serious security vulnerabilities in the system. Meanwhile, Apple has launched the iPadOS 17.0.2 update for iPad devices, to solve a similar problem in iPad devices when transferring data between them, according to Apple.
