Better throughput
Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) will offer a maximum data rate of 46 Gbps. This remains theory, however. In practice, we are approaching a speed of 2 Gb/s. The channel size is up to 320 MHz. The 320 MHz are precisely one of the main novelties of the standard for ever more speed. Of course, there are other improvements. It should be noted in particular that the latency should be reduced and the modulation of the 4096-QAM OFDMA signal amplitude.
Concretely, these improvements will allow better communication between the helmet and the iPhone. The analyst even adds that support for Wifi 7: “will be more conducive for Apple to integrate products running on the same local network and provide a better ecosystem experience.”
