IPL 2022 | Umesh Yadav dismisses Punjab batsmen; Kolkata set a target of 138 for victory

Punjab Kings lose to Kolkata in IPL 2022. After losing the toss and opting to bat, Punjab lost all their wickets for 137 runs. Star pacer Umesh Yadav narrated the story of the Punjab batting line-up. He took four wickets for 23 runs in four overs.

Punjab lost captain Mayank in the first over. He was caught in front of the wicket by Umesh Yadav. Shikhar Dhawan also returned in the fourth over. Dhawan was bowled out for 16 by Tim Southee in the hands of wicketkeeper Sam Billings. Rajapaksa also returned before the end of the power play. Rajapaksa scored 31 off just nine balls. This will include three sixes and four fours.

Umesh’s ball was caught by Southee in the long off and Livingston returned. Raj Bawa (11) was bowled by Sunil Narine. Shah Rukh Khan (0) had a lifetime of just five balls. Nitish Rana was caught by Southee for a big shot and returned. Harpreet Brar, who had been batting for 14 runs, was bowled by Umesh. In the same over, Rahul Chahar returned without scoring a run.

Rabada, who later reached the crease, led Punjab to a better score. He scored 25 off 16 balls, including four fours and a six. Punjab ended the innings at 137 with Arshadeep being run out in the same over. Odeon Smith (9) was not out.
