TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — The Iranian military has developed an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of attacking the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, Press TV reported Monday, citing an Iranian commander. .

The Arash-2 drone, with the ability to gather information before striking and destroying the designated target, “has been specifically designed to target Haifa and Tel Aviv,” Kioumars Heydari, commander of the Iranian army’s ground force, said in an interview. on Sunday.

Describing the Arash-2 as an “unparalleled” aerial vehicle, Heydari added that its capabilities will be showcased in future military exercises.

According to the report, the Arash-1, from which the Arash-2 was upgraded, first appeared in a drone exercise in 2019 as a kamikaze UAV and radar evader. It is 4.5 meters long, has a wingspan of between 3.5 and 4 meters and can fly more than 1,400 kilometers before reaching the target.

Last month, the Iranian military conducted a large-scale drone exercise across the country.
