A 94-year-old man nicknamed as “the dirtiest in the world” He passed away after deciding to take his first shower in 60 years. Known by the local media as “Amou Haji”an affectionate nickname for an older person in Iranthis man managed to survive for more than half a century without bathing with soap and water but, when he finally decided to do so, he did not resist for much longer.
As reported by the portal The Guardian, the residents of the area where this character used to live finally managed to convince him to clean his body after a long time of not doing it. However, a few months after such a momentous decision, “Amou Haji” passed away. The life of the “dirtiest man in the world”
Over the years, Iranian media and international websites have reported on the lifestyle of “Amou Haji” and even the alleged reasons that led him to choose not to bathe for such a long time. According to these reports, the “dirtiest man in the world” enjoyed feeding on animals killed on the road and smoked feces from said animals.
“Amou Haji” he considered that “being clean would eventually make him sick”. Because of this, he was always covered in soot and lived in a precarious shack made only of cement blocks. Villagers who lived nearby explained that the man did not want to bathe because he “had experienced emotional setbacks in his youth” that pushed him to refuse to perform such a vital activity for human beings.

It seems that the reason for “Amou Haji” for not bathing in the end was what ended up ending his life. After the locals convinced him to take a shower a few months ago, the man finally passed away and, for now, the causes of his death have not been made public.
