Kaveh Rezaei has supported protests against Iranian authorities on social media in recent days.
Kaveh Rezaei, 30, returned to Iran last summer where he plays as a striker with Tractor FC. Over the past five years, he has been active in the Jupiler Pro League with Charleroi, at Club Brugge but also at OH Leuven. The striker also has 17 caps with the Iranian national team.
Protests in Iran began on September 16, the day Mahsa Amini died, arrested on September 13 in Tehran for “wearing inappropriate clothes” in the Islamic Republic where the dress code for women is strict. At least 83 people have already lost their lives during these mass protests, according to an NGO.
