Film-Remake in Serien-Form
Series creator Olivier Assayas already did the same stuff in 1996 feature film of the same name implemented. Back then Hong Kong star Maggie Cheung (“In the Mood for Love”) in the title role and has played himself. In the new version, this kind of self-reference is once more obsolete, because Vikander embodies a fictional character named Mira.
In other roles we experience Adria Arjona (“Good Omens”), Carrie Brownstein (“Portlandia”), Tom Sturridge (“Sweetbitter”), Fala Chen (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”), Devon Ross (“Heavenly High”), Byron Bowers (“The Chi”) als Hollywood-Filmemacher, und Vincent Macaigne (“News from Planet Mars”) als Rene Vidal, der Regisseur des Remakes.
