Incomprehensible reviews?
If no spectator went on the stage occupied by the mother of 3 children, contrary to the scenario of Quentin Dupieux’s film Yannick, in which the winner of the male revelation of the César 2024 Raphaël Quenard is dazzling, the vehement exchanges nevertheless continued in front of the room, reports the journalist. The Italian visual director Romeo Castellucci is, however, already identified for his divisive bias. And there was no lie about the merchandise, as evidenced by the presentation of this adaptation, available on the theater’s website: “There will only be two other actors on stage who will play Titus and Antiochus, and several Roman senators. All their replies will be incomprehensible and covered up by Bérénice’s voice.”
But the bet was perhaps too ambitious…As a reminder, this play tells the tragic love story between Emperor Titus and Princess Bérénice, expelled from Rome. This adaptation with Isabelle Huppert in the leading role plays until March 28 in Paris. And will then be on international tour until May 2025 in Milan, Geneva, Clermont-Ferrand, Naples and Rennes.
