Ishan Kishan’s Blast; Mumbai Indians top scorer against Delhi Capitals

Mumbai: Mumbai Indians’ best score in the match against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. Batting first, Mumbai lost the toss and opted to bat. Mumbai scored 177 for five in the allotted overs. Ishant Kishan (81 not out off 48 balls) was the top scorer for the former champions. Captain Rohit Sharma (41) was the top scorer. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for Delhi.

Mumbai got off to a shaky start. Rohit and Kishan added 67 runs for the first wicket. Rohit’s innings consisted of four fours and two sixes. But when he tried to strike a big blow against Kuldeep, Rohit lost. Rowman catches many. Thakur had dropped Rohit with an individual score of 25. Anmolpreet Singh (8), who reached the crease in the third, was disappointing. This time too Kuldeep took the wicket. Lalit Yadav caught in long off.

Thakur conceded 47 runs in four overs. Kamlesh Nagercoil scored 29 runs in two overs and Akshar Patel 40 runs in four overs. Earlier, Mumbai included Malayalee pacer Thampi in the playing XI. However, Suryakumar Yadav, who has not fully recovered from injury, could not find a place in the team.
