Israeli soldiers bombarded a building in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the western part of Gaza City. This attack, which Israel continues to repeat, injures and kills the residents inside.

“The (Israeli) occupation army bombed the special operations building at Al-Shifa Hospital in the western part of Gaza City,” in the northern Gaza Strip, the Al-Aqsa channel said in a brief statement on Telegram.

Previously, Palestine TV reported that Israeli occupation forces threatened refugees inside the Al-Shifa Complex via loudspeakers. Israel asked them to immediately flee the compound.

Last week, a number of Palestinians were killed and injured in intensive shelling by Israeli soldiers near Al-Shifa as they broke their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

The bombing caused widespread fires, killed and injured dozens of Palestinians, including women and children, and forced hundreds to flee to eastern Gaza City.

Since Monday (19/3) early morning, Israeli troops have continued to raid the Shifa compound, even though there are thousands of patients, injured and Palestinian refugees inside, along with killings and shootings.

They also carried out large-scale arrests of refugees inside the hospital, and shelled nearby houses.

Then on Wednesday (20/3), the Israeli army announced the killing of 90 Palestinians and the interrogation of 300 people in Shifa, while arresting 160 others and taking them to Israel for interrogation.

This is the second time that Israeli troops have stormed the compound since the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, after they previously stormed the compound on November 16. It was after a week-long siege that Israeli troops stormed the compound.

Israel has launched deadly military attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack on October 7 led by Hamas that killed around 1,200 Israelis.

Nearly 32 thousand Palestinians, mostly women and children, were killed in Gaza, and more than 74 thousand people were injured due to mass destruction and lack of basic necessities.

Israel’s war has displaced 85% of Gaza’s population amid a blockade that has crippled most food, clean water and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim decree in January ordered Tel Aviv to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide, and to guarantee that humanitarian aid is provided to civilians in Gaza. (Anadolu/Z-8)
