Tel Aviv: Family members and relatives of Israelis who remain hostages in Gaza marched to Israel’s parliament, the Knesset. Parliament marches were held Tuesday night and Wednesday morning demanding the resumption of settlement talks with Hamas and the safe return of hostages.

Nadav Rudeif, who rallied in the march, said they knew they would have to pay a high price to bring back those held hostage for 67 days. Rudeif’s father was taken hostage on October 7. Those who rallied in the march said they have their support for the administration to take a bold decision.

Hamas issued a warning yesterday as Israel continued its inhumane attack on Gaza. Senior Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan said yesterday that Israel must end the war against Gaza if the hostages are to be returned alive. He said that until the end of the war, there is no more discussion about the release of hostages.

The Israeli government spokesman Eilon Levy told reporters the other day that 137 hostages captured from Israel on October 7 are still in the hands of Hamas. Among them 117 are male and 20 are female. Hamas released 110 of the 247 hostages taken during the ceasefire. 86 Israelis and 24 foreign nationals were released. If other hostages are to be released, Hamas demands the release of more than 7,000 Palestinians, including women and children, who have been imprisoned by Israel for years.
