Israeli army reports killing of Hamas commander – Middle East

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) say they have killed a Hamas commander in the Gaza Strip who is said to have been a key player in the terrorist attack on Israeli border towns on October 7th. Adel Msammah, commander of the “Nukhba” (German: Elite) unit in Deir al-Balah in the central section of Gaza, was “eliminated” in an air strike, the Israeli military said on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. There was initially no reaction from Hamas.
