Qatar and Israel reported on Saturday evening that 13 Israelis and 4 Thais detained in Gaza had been released. In separate statements, the Israeli army and the spokesperson for the Qatari foreign ministry, Majed Al-Ansari, announced that seventeen hostages had been released and handed over to the Red Cross, before returning to Israel via Egypt.Thirty-nine Palestinian prisoners, women and adolescents under the age of 19 imprisoned by the Jewish state, were immediately released.At least 200 trucks filled with water, food and medicine entered Gaza through the Rafah crossing point, in the south of the Palestinian enclave, on Friday November 24 and Saturday November 25, in the first days of a truce concluded between Hamas and Israel. It is the largest humanitarian convoy authorized since the start of the war in the territory.The agreement reached Wednesday between the Israeli government and the Islamist group provides for the exchange of fifty women and children detained by Hamas against Palestinian prisoners, as well as“a lull in the fighting” for four days.In London, the mobilization in support of the Palestinians continues with tens of thousands of Britons who marched again on Saturdaycalling for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza on the second day of the truce between Hamas and Israel.The latest Hamas report, published on Wednesday, states that 14,854 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli bombardments of Gaza since the start of the war.
