The eleven Israeli hostages released Monday evening by Hamas as part of the truce agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement are “now” in Israel, the army announced.

“After an initial medical examination, our forces will accompany them until they are reunited with their families,” she said in a statement.
This is the fourth group of hostages released since Friday, as part of an agreement which was to expire Tuesday morning, but will be extended for two days, according to Hamas and Qatar.
Doha, one of the mediators of the truce agreement with the United States and Egypt, announced that French, Germans and Argentines were among this group, which only includes dual nationals.
A list was released by the hostage families’ forum, but has not been formally confirmed by Israeli authorities. But the kibbutz they came from gave a list of similar names.
All were captured on Kibbutz Nir Oz during the Hamas attack, the most violent in Israeli history. In this community, more than 70 people were kidnapped on October 7, and around thirty others murdered.
“This information brings a sigh of relief to our community, but we remain very concerned about those we love who are still being held,” kibbutz official Osnat Peri said in a statement.
