The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, said that the Israeli occupation army committed 37 massacres that claimed the lives of 352 martyrs and 669 wounded during the past 24 hours, including targeting the Greek Orthodox Church, which resulted in the martyrdom of 16 Palestinian Christians.
Ashraf pointed out in a press conference – today, Friday – that the occupation planes directly targeted the church, and did not care about bombing the holy places where the displaced took refuge.
The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrios is the oldest church in the Gaza Strip that is still open. It is located next to a mosque in the Old City of Old Gaza, and was built over the tomb of Saint Porphyrios.
The church is located close to the National Arab Baptist Hospital, which was subjected – on Tuesday evening – to a major Israeli massacre that left 471 martyrs. The hospital is affiliated with the Evangelical Episcopal Church in occupied Jerusalem.

Dr. pointed out: Ashraf noted that the occupation’s appetite is open “to commit more ethnic cleansing massacres and target everything that is non-Jewish.”
He confirmed that 7 hospitals in the Gaza Strip were out of service as a result of the occupation’s aggression, calling for international protection to be provided to hospitals and health institutions, and to expedite the introduction of medical supplies into Gaza.
He warned that the coming hours are very critical for medical teams, in light of the scarcity of fuel and supplies.
He revealed that the number of martyrs since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 4,137 martyrs, and more than 1,000 are missing, most of whom are children.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation is waging an unprecedented war on the Gaza Strip following the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, which was carried out by the resistance on October 7, where it leveled entire residential neighborhoods to the ground and removed hundreds of families from the civil registry, by bombing homes on the heads of their residents. .
