JERUSALEM, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) — Israel announced Wednesday that it will resume its offensive in the Gaza Strip once the recently concluded truce agreement to free the hostages is implemented.

“We are at war with Hamas, a war that was started by the Hamas massacre of October 7 and it will continue,” Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy said at a press conference.

The war will resume “immediately” following the truce agreement is fully implemented and the hostages are released under the agreement, he said.

Every day during the ceasefire, Israel and Hamas will exchange lists of hostages and prisoners to be released the next day. The hostages will be transferred to the Red Cross, then to the Israeli armies. The Palestinian prisoners will be released later, the spokesperson said.

For every ten additional hostages released by Hamas, Israel will offer one additional day of ceasefire, Levy added.

According to Israeli media, 200 to 300 trucks of fuel and aid enter the Gaza Strip every day. Mr. Levy assured that Israel would not impose any constraints on the entry of humanitarian aid into the coastal enclave, which is experiencing power cuts and interruptions in the supply of fuel, food and water. imposed by Israel since the start of the conflict.
