Books – Youssef Afifi:
The Chamber of Hotel Establishments sent an urgent message to the general managers of hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh regarding Ukrainian tourists.
This comes in conjunction with the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the early hours of Thursday morning, the start of a military operation in eastern Ukraine.
The letter addressed to the general managers of hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh stated the following:
“Please receive the Ukrainian tourists returning from the airport today and provide them with all the necessary assistance and support, and not leave any tourists from the hotels, and deal very carefully between Russian and Ukrainian tourists.”
And the letter continued: “You will be informed of any new instructions that may be issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in this regard… and please consider this matter urgent and extremely important.”
