The Italian technician was not just delighted with Eden Hazard’s goal, which saved Real Madrid in extra time against Elche, but with the reaction of his team: “It’s the result that makes me happiest this season. This team never surrenders,” says Carlo Ancelotti. “We’ve already won games playing well, but coming back having been behind, after such physical debauchery…”.
That Isco and Hazard were decisive, however, pleases Ancelotti: “That the scorers are players who have little playing time, it proves that the locker room is healthy”, he underlines. “Hazard and Isco had little playing time but today gave us the game. They may deserve more playing time, but the past is the past and I know I can count on them”.
