Jackson Introduces New Soloist X Series Models

Offered in Satin Black, Rocket Red, Red Crystal and Granite Crystal colors, the new SLX DX features a poplar body and a maple neck-thru with graphite reinforcement rod. The Indian laurel fingerboard with a compensated radius between 12 and 16 inches accommodates 24 Jumbo frets for a pitch of 25.5 inches. The electronics incorporate two Duncan Designed pickups, an HB-103N in the neck position and an HB-103B in the bridge position. They are controlled by a master volume, a master tone and a three position selector. Finally, the fittings include a Floyd Rose Special vibrato and its locking nut and in-house tuners. Then comes the SL3X DX Crackle and its beautiful Frost Byte Crackle and Yellow Crackle finishes. The guitar has a poplar body and a through-neck maple neck with graphite reinforcement rod. Jackson also unveiled the SLX DX Camo. The guitar this time has a Nyatoh body and a maple through-neck with graphite reinforcement rod. We find the same fittings as on the other models. The pickups here are active Jackson humbuckers controlled by master volume, master tone, and a three-way switch. Count 814 € for this SLX DX Camo made in Indonesia and its very original finish.

To finish with the Soloist news, let’s take a look at the SLA6 DX Archtop Baritone. This Soloist has a Nyatoh body and a through-neck maple neck with graphite reinforcement rod. The Indian laurel fingerboard has a compensated radius between 12 and 16 inches. It is set with 24 Jumbo frets for a pitch of 26.5 inches. On the electronics side, Jackson chose a set of EMG-stamped pickups; there is an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck. They are controlled by a three position selector, master volume and master tone. Count 609 € for this model made in China.
