Leon Dozan, son of singer Betharia Sonata, cried and apologized to his mother. This moment occurred after he learned of Betharia Sonata’s struggle to get forgiveness from Rinoa Aurora, Leon Dozan’s ex-girlfriend, who reported him to the police for alleged abuse.
Betharia Sonata showed a number of news videos to Leon Dozan who is currently in prison. The video contains his efforts to get Rinoa Aurora’s forgiveness.
“Last night I watched our interviews with the press,” said Betharia, quoted from Trans TV’s Pagi Pagi Ambyar broadcast.
Previously, Betharia Sonata had never shown Leon Dozan videos of what happened outside prison. But this time it was different, he felt that his children should know the impact of their actions on their parents.
“I didn’t see it before,” said Betharia.
“But I think he should know, so he can introspect, what we are all doing outside,” he continued.
After seeing these videos, Leon Dozan immediately cried and kissed his mother’s hand, apologizing.
“He kissed me, he cried, ‘Mama is very patient, Mama is kind, thank you, Ma. Leon promises it will be much better, Mama’s struggle is like this’,” said Betharia Sonata, imitating Leon’s words.
“He had tears in his eyes, he hugged me, kissed me, he never did anything like that,” continued Betharia Sonata.
After seeing these videos, Leon Dozan promised to change into a better person. He also thanked his mother who had fought for him.
Betharia Sonata’s struggle to get forgiveness from Rinoa Aurora’s family bore sweet fruit. On December 3, 2023, Rinoa withdrew her report against Leon.
Rinoa Aurora said she forgave Leon Dozan because of her parents’ teachings, that forgiveness is not insulting and not inferior.
“It was difficult at first because I had to synchronize my brain and heart,” said Rinoa Aurora at a press conference, Saturday (2/12).
“But in the end I followed my heart, because of the teachings of my parents, forgiveness is not insulting, forgiveness is not defeating,” he added.
It was previously known that Betharia Sonata did many things to apologize to Rinoa Aurora. He was even willing to kneel and kiss the feet of Rinoa Aurora’s mother, Yuliana Assad.
