Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 launch this winter for PS5, Switch, and PC

Gravity Game Arise announced that two new compilations, Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol.1 and Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol.2, will launch on Nintendo Switch this winter.

Thirty-Two Titles Across Two Volumes The release strategy splits Jaleco’s library into two distinct packages. Each volume contains 16 arcade titles, creating a combined library of 32 games. These titles span two decades of arcade history, specifically the 80s and 90s. While the full lists for both volumes aren’t entirely exhausted in the initial announcement, the variety suggests a push to cover multiple genres—from hardcore shooters to strategic action games. City Connection: A world-traveling adventure where the protagonist, Clarice, uses oil cans to fight back against police.

P-47: The Freedom Fighter: A hardcore shooter featuring the U.S. aircraft active during WWII.

Saint Dragon: A side-scroller featuring the giant space dragon Tenseiryu, whose body acts as a shield against bullets.

Shingen Samurai-Fighter: A Sengoku-era action game where players control Takeda Shingen to defeat Uesugi Kenshin.

The Astyanax (The Lord of King): A fantasy title where the hero Roche utilizes a giant axe to battle the Demon King’s forces.

Other titles in Vol.1 include the transformable mech action of Aeroboto (Formation Z), the capture-beam mechanics of Field Combat, and the bomb-throwing survival action of Pig’s & Bomber’s. Rounding out the set are Cybattler, a humanoid robot shooter, and Naughty Boy, a game centered on burning monster forests. SF Shooters and Fantasy in Vol.2 The second volume leans heavily into science fiction and fantasy. The titles highlighted here focus on movement physics and weapon progression. Exerion introduces “inertia” to ship movement, forcing players to manage their drift while sniping enemies.
