Jamal Suleiman talks about his childhood: I used to work and see children playing outside

Syrian actor Jamal Suleiman revealed that he was working in blacksmithing and carpentry in his childhood, before taking up acting.

During a meeting within the “One of the People” program, presented by the media, Amr El-Leithi, on the “Al-Hayat” channel, Suleiman said: “I was 10 years old at the time, and during my work period when I was young, it was the beginning of my acquaintance with Umm Kulthum’s songs. I was working in a workshop and seeing children playing Outside while I was working, the owner of the workshop liked to listen to Umm Kulthum. I did not understand what she was saying at the time in her songs, especially since we were at home not listening to her songs, but then I loved her.”

He added, “I worked in a printing press and for three years I slept in it, and this helped me to read many books in all fields.”
