Katsumi holds the record for being the world’s oldest cross country skier to compete in the event. But not to mention his achievements, Katsumi came to Austria to show his skills to the world more than a year later. Katsumi’s achievement is not only that she participated in the over-85 category. They also managed to finish faster than some of their younger competitors in two events.

Katsumi completed the five kilometer classic style race in 26 minutes and 18 seconds. The freestyle competition was completed in 29 minutes and 4 seconds.
