Japanese stock indices ended the morning trading session on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, on Monday, with a decline

The Nikkei index, which consists of 225 shares, lost 193.98 points, or 0.72 percent, to reach 26791.82 points by the end of the morning session at 1130 am local time (0230 GMT).

The broader Topix index also fell 11.61 points, or 0.61 percent, to reach 1885.18 points.
