Japan’s Nikkei closed 1.42% higher

The Japanese Nikkei index closed up 1.42% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Tuesday, recording 27156.14 points, while the broader Topix index rose 1.18% to 1901.79 points.

The Nikkei index rose at the beginning of trading by 1.46%.

Today’s performance came after Japanese stocks fell on Monday, tracking Wall Street as investors prepared for more signs of a global recession, despite the good performance of tourism-related stocks after reopening the borders last week.
