Johnson County School District Navigates Coaching Changes and Staff Transitions
Recent personnel decisions within the Johnson County School District have sparked interest and prompted questions about the future of athletics and education within the community. Recently, we sat down with Dr. Sarah Thompson,Superintendent of Johnson County schools,to discuss these changes and their potential impact.
Conway: Dr. Thompson, could you provide some context for these recent coaching changes?
Thompson: Certainly. We are always striving to cultivate the best possible environment for our student athletes. These changes reflect our commitment to fostering growth and providing opportunities for both experienced and emerging coaches within our district. The appointments of Logan Leask and Tim Marton are additions to our highly qualified coaching staff, while the transition of Farrah Patterson to head girls basketball coach at buffalo High School recognizes her leadership qualities and dedication.
Conway: The change in leadership for the girls basketball program at Buffalo High School happened rather abruptly. What led to this transition?
Thompson: We appreciate the service of Coach John Hepp during his tenure at Buffalo High School. Thompson: We deeply value the contributions of everyone who has dedicated themselves to the Johnson County School District. We are grateful for the service of our departing staff members, and we are actively working to fill these positions to ensure continuity of high-quality education and support for our students.
Conway: What message do you have for parents and community members regarding the changes in the district?
